Police and anti-narcotics agents seized Tuesday some P170 million worth of shabu from two Chinese men and two Filipinos in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in Quezon City.
Police identified the suspects as Liu Fu Gui, his cohorts Keith Romo, a call center programmer, and Nonito Garlindo, a gasoline boy; and 45-year-old Hongbo He of Mariveles, Bataan.
Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) and Quezon City Police District’s Masambong Police Station nabbed Liu and Filipinos Romo and Garlindo in a drug sting on Sta. Catalina Street in Barangay Sienna.
An undercover PDEA agent transacted with the group around 4:30 p.m. and seized from them 10 kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of P68,000.
Also recovered from them were a red Mitsubishi Galant with plate number UDJ 276 and a red Honda Civic with plate number WPD 697.
Three hours after, agents of PDEA-NCR and QCPD’s Kamuning Police Station (PS-10) collared Hongbo, a Chinese businessman, in another buy-bust operation in front of Quezon Heritage House at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Seized from Hongbo were 15 kilos of shabu worth P102 million and a gray Toyota Grandia.
The suspects are now under police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The confiscated pieces of evidence were turned over to the PNP Crime Laboratory. (Alexandria San Juan)
