University of Batangas guns for the fourth and last semifinal berth when it battles winless National College of Business and Arts today in the PG Flex Linoleum-Universities and Colleges Basketball League at the Olivarez College gym in Parañaque City.
Match is at 2 p.m. with the UB Brahmans hoping to join defending champion Diliman College, Centro Escolar University and Olivarez College into the next phase.
A win for the Brahmans would also snap their three-game slide including their recent 80-65 loss to the Olivarez Sea Lions last week.
UB started impressively, winning their first five games before dropping their last three games.
Don Tabol and JJ Caspe expect to fuel UB’s offense after combining for 25 points the last time.
Also a threat inside is Raoul Yemeli who delivered 12 points and 16 rebounds in their game against Olivarez.
The Wildcats also seek revenge of their 107-83 defeat to the Brahmans last Sept. 16.
Meanwhile, CEU hopes to close out its elims campaign on a high note in its 12 noon meeting with Lyceum of the Philippines-Batangas.
The Scorpions booked a semis ticket three days back after surviving Technological Institute of the Philippines Engineers, 63-61, for 6-3 in Group A.
Maodo Dioulf and Eric Tuadles banner the CEU frontline after combining for 31 points against the Engineers.
Like NCBA, Lyceum also hopes to make a grand exit with its 3-6 mark.
Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas tackles Olivarez College at 4 p.m., praying for a miracle to keep its semifinal hunt.
Toting a 3-5 record, the Dolphins need to overcome the Sea Lions and hope that the Wildcats beat the Brahmans to keep their slim semis bid alive. (Kristel Satumbaga)
