The United States Homeland Security is hunting down alleged “drug queen” Guia Gomez-Castro, according to Department of Justice (DoJ) spokesman Undersecretary Markk Perete.
“Meanwhile, the US Homeland Security has already commenced efforts to locate her as a preliminary step to her deportation,” Perete told reporters on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, Perete said the US government granted the request of the DoJ to cancel the visa of Castro.
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said that Castro managed to leave the Philippines last September 21 despite facing various charges.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has implicated Castro, an elected barangay chairwoman in Sampaloc, Manila, to rogue policemen or “ninja cops” involved in the recycling of illegal drugs seized from operations.
She has also been tagged in the killing of Patrolman Roderick Valenzia over the latter’s failure to remit the proceeds of his illegal drugs sale.
“The PDEA has filed a complaint for murder against her,” Perete noted. (Jeffrey Damicog)
