PLARIDEL, Bulacan–Four alleged carnappers were killed in an encounter with Bulacan police in Barangay Bagong Silang, this town, early Sunday morning.
Based on the report submitted to Colonel Chito G. Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, one Michael Cruz Reyes appeared at the municipal police station here at about 3:50 a.m. Sunday and reported that his Toyota Vios (AHA 2068) was forcibly taken by two unidentified armed men who fled towards bypass road.
The police station immediately sent flash alarm to Bulacan Tactical Operations Center (TOC).
A hot pursuit was conducted by police operatives of this town and Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch against the suspects.
The cops flagged down the carnapped vehicle but it sped off and its occupants fired shots at the operatives.
The lawmen returned fire, killing the suspects.
Police recovered from the crime scene a .45-caliber pistol, one Uzi sub-machine gun, two .38-caliber revolvers, and the stolen vehicle of the victim.
As of this writing, Plaridel policemen were still conducting ocular investigation as they requested the Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team to process the crime scene.
