HANDA raw harapin ni Claudine Barretto ang nakatatandang kapatid na si Marjorie sa korte.
Naglabas na nga ang aktres ng statement patungkol dito matapos hamunin ni Marjorie ng “see you in court.”
Bunsod ito ng paglabas ng isang video kung saan maririnig na sinabi ni Marjorie na “sasapakin” ang isang Inday.”
Ani Claudine, ang “Inday” na tinutukoy ni Marjorie ay walang iba kung hindi ang kanilang ina.
Bagay na inalmahan ni Marjorie sabay hamon sa kapatid na patunayan ito sa korte.
Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang abugadong si Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, nagpadala ng pahayag ang kampo ni Claudine sa PEP.
“No one can stop anyone from filing a case in court.
“Such is the nature of our judicial system.
“But as far as I know as a lawyer, it is the person filing the case who has the burden of proving his or her accusations.
“As always, we are ready and able to meet any accuser before any forum and we shall defend Ms. Barretto to the best of our abilities, as we are totally convinced, based on evidence admissible in court, that she is INNOCENT of any wrongdoing.”
Dagdag pa ni Atty. Topacio: “Speaking of court cases, we are also preparing for charges against those in the camp of Ms. Marjorie Barretto, which are definitely of a much more se-rious nature.
“And we are confident that, on the basis of proof that we have already seen and evaluated, we can prove our allegations against them clearly and convincingly.”
Diin pa nito: “Ms. Claudine Barretto regrets the division the present feud has caused her family, but she wishes to make it clear that her camp is not the one that initiated the fracas, as publicized videos and statements will show, and that Ms. Claudine Barretto and the family members who are on her side, are acting merely in defense of their honor, and the honor of those who have been affected by the acts of the group of Ms. Marjorie Barretto.” (DELIA CUARESMA)
