Bomb scare triggered by an abandoned trolley bag caused heavy traffic along Roxas Boulevard in Manila, Thursday morning.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) temporarily closed the Roxas Boulevard service road up to Padre Faura area to traffic for almost two hours after a black trolley bag was left in front of the Golden Service Tower.
However, no explosive was found inside the bag when members of the Manila Police District’s (MPD) Explosive and Ordnance Division (EOD) inspected it at around 7:20 a.m.
The bag contained plastic bags and clothes, police said.
Moments later, one Josephine Catama of Norzagaray, Bulacan, went to the area and claimed the bag.
Catama said she was sleeping on the footbridge when she noticed that she lost her luggage on Wednesday.
Catama said she plans to apply for work in Makati. (Erma Edera)
