Two Korean students lost at least P100,000 cash and other belongings to car-riding armed men in a daring robbery-holdup on a busy flyover in Pasay City early yesterday morning.
Police identified the victims as Jo Kyeoung Won and Kang Min Kil, both Koreans who are taking a vacation in the country.
Investigation showed that the incident happened on the northbound lane of the Buendia flyover at around 2 a.m.
The victims were riding a transportation network vehicle service after playing in a casino in Parañaque City when they were waylaid by a sedan.
According to Renato Adviento, the TNVS driver, two men allegedly got off the sedan and started breaking his car’s glass using a mallet while demanding the passengers to get off.
Adviento added that another man from the car followed and opened fire, warning that they would be shot should they not follow the order.
When the robbers finally broke the glass, they carted away the victims’ bag containing about P105,000 cash and other belongings, including their passports, credit cards, and IDs.
The TNVS driver sustained minor injuries from the shattered glass while the Koreans were unhurt.
Police are now hunting down the suspects.
