Pasay City police investigators are reviewing the CCTV footages, particularly along Pasay Rotonda, in a bid to trace the nine youths who have been reported missing in the city.
According to Colonel Bernard Yang, families of five of the nine missing persons have officially reported their disappearances to the police.
“Out of the nine na sinasabing nawawala, lima po doon sa mga kabataang nawawala nagsipag-report na po ang kanilang mga magulang sa aming himpilan. Nagba-backtrack tayo para makuha ang CCTV footage, “ Yang said.
Yang said they have already taken the statements of the families of the missing persons, whose ages range from 16 to 22 years old.
He also encouraged the families of the other missing persons to officially report these incidents to the police.
“Ako ay nananawagan na rin sa mga magulang ng ibang nawawala na pumunta na rin sa ating himpilan para makuhanan ng salaysay upang patuloy po kaming makapag-imbestiga,” Yang said.
It can be recalled that last Monday, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano ordered the local police to look into reports of abductions in the city particularly within the vicinity of Pasay Rotonda after they circulated on social media. (Jean Fernando)
