The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration does not see the formation of a low-pressure area or tropical cyclone that may affect the country in the next two to three days.
For now, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will be the dominant weather system that may affect Northern Luzon, according to PAGASA weather specialist Meno Mendoza.
Cloudy skies with light amihan rains will likely affect Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.
Strong rush of wind could be felt in the coastal and mountainous areas of these provinces, Mendoza said.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, except Palawan, may also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light amihan rains.
Meanwhile, Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Mendoza advised the public to remain alert for possible flash floods in low-lying areas or landslides in mountainous regions during severe thunderstorms.
A gale warning is still in effect as sea travel remains risky for small sea craft over the coasts of Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Aurora, Bataan, Polilio Islands, Camarines Norte, northern and eastern Camarines Sur, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Catanduanes.
