CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa inaugurated on Tuesday two new provincial police headquarters in MIMAROPA (Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) as part of its modernization program to upgrade police facilities and equipment particularly in regions composed of island provinces.
Gamboa said that by upgrading the physical set-up of police offices in the countryside, they are hopeful that it will provide the police with more enthusiasm and motivation to serve efficiently and perform their mandate to render the best police service.
“I enjoin you to work harder, persevere and try to uphold the rule of law as you perform your job as guarantor of peace and order in the communities,” the PNP chief told the men and women of Police Provincial Office-Oriental
Mindoro in a ceremony held at Barangay Cacawan, Pinamalayan town.
The construction of the new P10-million PPO building was funded thru a regular budget of the PNP while the 1.5 hectares property was donated by the local government of Pinamalayan.
Brigadier General Nicerio D. Obaob, regional director of Police Regional Office-MIMAROPA, said another police provincial headquarters was inaugurated in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. (Jerry Alacayde)
