A lone Super Lotto 6/49 bettor won over P15 million during Thursday night’s draw.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winning combination was 47-04-02-31-29-07 with a total jackpot of P15,840,000.
The amount will be subjected to 20 percent tax in accordance with the TRAIN Law.
The government will get P3,168,000; therefore the winner will take home a total of P12,672, 000.
The PCSO has yet to disclose where the lucky ticket was purchased.
To claim his/her cheque, the bettor must go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present two IDs. Also, he/she should bring the winning ticket.
Meanwhile, PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma urged the public to keep on patronizing the products of PCSO as a large chunk of its revenue go their charity program.
“I am appealing to everyone to keep on patronizing PCSO products. When you buy a ticket, think of it as giving charity to our poor kababayans,” she said.
“It is giving charity with a chance of becoming a millionaire. Many people in dire need will be helped because of your generosity,” Garma added.
She congratulated the new millionaire, saying Christmas will surely be merry for him/her. (Jel Santos)
