BACOLOD CITY – A total of 46 pupils of Ma-ao Elementary School in Bago City, Negros Occidental, suffered stomachache and dizziness after they ate a spoiled spaghetti during a Christmas party last Thursday.
According to Lt. Leomel Adolacion, deputy chief of Bago City Police Station, the children ate the food bought in an eatery for the party.
Adolacion said the children complained that they were feeling unwell a few minutes after they ate the spaghetti.
“It got spoiled probably because of the heat when it was covered,” he added.
The pupils were all rushed to a hospital.
Maj. John Joel Batusbatusan, city police chief, said that only 13 of the students were still confined at the hospital as of Friday noon. (Glazyl Masculino)
