A woman believed to have been tortured was found dead on a busy highway in Taguig City, Thursday morning.
Police identified the victim through her TIN number recovered in the crime scene as Hasmin Undong, 43, from Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Probers said the body of Undong was discovered by a concerned citizen at the corner of C-6 Service Road and Pulong Kendi St. in Sta. Ana, Taguig City, around 6 a.m.
Col. Jayson Ermina, who led the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team, said the victim sustained bruises on both arms, indicating that she was tortured before she was killed.
Three cable wires, believed to have been used to tie her, were also recovered near her body.
The victim also sustained several gunshot wounds in different parts of the body, Ermina added.
Found in the crime scene were Undong’s shoulder bag, which contained two sachets of suspected shabu, and five fired cartridge cases from caliber 5.56-ml rifle.
Police are still investigating the incident. (Joseph Pedrajas)
