BACOLOD CITY – A baby boy, aged one year and 11 months, died after he fell into a well in Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, last Sunday.
Police withheld the name of the fatality.
Maj. Jigger Gimeno, city police chief, said the baby went out of the house when his elder sister left their house to go to a nearby sari-sari store.
When his sister came home, the baby went missing. Their mother was not at home when it happened.
They searched for the baby until he was found by his mother floating in the well near their house few hours later.
The victim was rushed to Talisay City Health Center and later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here, where he expired hours after.
He died of drowning, Gimeno said. (Glazyl Masculino)
