A couple previously arrested for illegal drugs were once again nabbed by the police after they allegedly yielded some P680,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City last Friday.
Anti-narcotics officers of the Quezon City Police District Station 4 (Novaliches) identified the suspects as Rex Duldulao, alias “Buboy,” 35, and his wife Jennifer, 35. Their two cohorts, Mark Pajaron, 21, and RJay San Agustin, 26, all residents of Caloocan City, were also arrested.
Police Col. Rossel Cejas, QCPD Station 4 chief, said the couple and San Agustin all had previous cases for illegal drugs.
Cejas added that Rex was given a life sentence after he was arrested by the Caloocan police in 2016 but filed an appeal and was eventually released last year.
Investigators said they received information that the Duldulaos went back to their illegal drug activities after their release, prompting policemen to set a drug sting against them.
An undercover operative acted as a buyer and purchased P7,500 worth of shabu from the suspects inside a room of an apartment on Domingo St., Dantes 2, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon.
After the deal, back-up officers immediately arrested the suspects and brought to the station for further questioning. (Alexandria San Juan)
