BACOLOD CITY – Residents of Purok Nami-Nami in Barangay Banago here were surprised when a fisherman found a drum containing an alleged human skeleton along the seashore last Monday.
Lt. Col. Ariel Pico, public information officer of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said 36-year-old Francisco Ayco went to the seashore to gather some seashells when he found the drum.
He reported it to the authorities and later discovered the skeleton of an unidentified person half cemented inside the drum.
Pico said they may have difficulty establishing its identity because the person might not be from here.
Pico said the people believed that the victim was possibly thrown by unidentified perpetrators at the sea several months ago. Investigation is ongoing. (Glazyl Masculino)
