Black Nazarene devotees may have to prepare for some light rains during the annual procession today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said yesterday.
Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of passing light rains during this year’s Traslacion. Winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to east and forecast temperatures will range from 23°C to 31°C.
PAGASA said this weather condition will likely prevail over Metro Manila and most of Luzon until tomorrow.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may persist over Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental due to the intertropical convergence zone – a breeding ground for potential low-pressure areas and tropical cyclones.
PAGASA warned of possible flooding or landslides in hazard-prone areas during severe thunderstorms.
The northeast monsoon or “amihan” may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Apayao, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino. (Ellalyn Ruiz)
