THOSE missing the delectable Coleen Garcia should be happy to know she will soon have a movie out.
The sexy and beautiful psychology student is to star in “Mia,” a film about a sexy and beautiful doctor prone to getting drunk and passing out whenever and wherever.
It is set to open on Jan. 15.
“Mia” is Coleen’s first movie after marrying singer Billy Crawford and she admitted to asking “his blessing” prior to saying yes to the project.
“Ganun naman na ako, ever since we got married I always consult him with whatever. I don’t decide on my own, I let love decide,” Coleen cooed.
But she made clear, “On my own pagkabasa ko ng script gusto ko na siya kaagad gawin. Maganda ang kwento. It’s not your usual love story.”
She is paired with EA Guzman in the film.
EA plays the idealistic forester Jay (EA), who is out to prove to Mia (Coleen) devastation is just a temporary thing –proving so by showing her how he tries to bring life back to areas ravaged by mining.
She cited an instance when she realized how hard his lines were.
And he did.”
EA, on his part, praised Coleen for her seeming dedication to the craft.
Working with the actress is a breeze but he was wary of her husband Billy who was a regular visitor on set.
He was there kasi to give support. He is a fan of the film, so much so he asked pa nga for a small part in it.”
Apart from being a rom-com, the movie tackles sensitive issues relating to the destruction of Mother Earth.
Note the film was shot in Rio Tuba in Palawan.
Directed by Veronica Velasco, “Mia” is produced by Chris Cahilig for Insight 360 Films with the support of Viva Films. (Neil Ramos)
