University of Georgia became the latest US NCAA Division I school to express interest in 7-foot-2 Kai Sotto, who continues to draw attention with his play in the United States.
Georgia’s interest was confirmed by Verbal Commits, an American website that keeps close track on the college recruiting scene.
The Bulldogs, who plays in the Southeastern Conference, are the fourth school intrigued by the former Ateneo Blue Eaglets star.
Auburn, Georgia Tech and DePaul were also said to be interested in getting Sotto, who has been under the Atlanta-based The Skill Factory Prep School.
The Las Piñas City native also had an unofficial visit last month in the University of Kentucky campus.
Sotto is currently ranked 68th in ESPN’s top 100 prospects based on his performances with The Skill Factory.
The 16-year-old recently posted 31 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and four blocks against Combine Prep.
He has been in the US since last year as he hopes to pursue his dream of eventually playing in the NBA.
Sotto had initially ruled out the prospect of accepting US NCAA offers in favor of entertaining offers from European clubs.
