Brandon Vera stakes his world heavyweight title against former Olympic wrestler Arjan Bhullar in ONE: Infinity 2 on May 29.
In a Facebook post Thursday, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced the upcoming fights for the ONE: Infinity Series which includes Vera’s headliner in Manila.
“A typical ONE Infinity Series event features three World Championship bouts, a minimum of 12 World Champions in action, Super Fights, A-list celebrities in attendance, and much more. BOOM! LET’S GOOOOO!!!” Sityodong wrote.
During last month’s ONE: Fire & Fury , Vera teased the crowd by declaring his return to the Circle for the third world title defense in the promotion.
The 42-year-old Filipino-American hopes to bounce back from his loss against Myanmar’s Aung La N Sang, the middleweight and light heavyweight titleholder, via technical knockout last October.
The Indo-Canadian Bhullar was a gold medalist in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and represented Canada in the 2012 London Summer Olympics in wrestling.
Bhullar made a successful ONE Championship debut by defeating Mauro Cerilli via unanimous decision in ONE: Century Part II last October.
Vera also knocked out Cerillin in the first round of ONE: Conquest of Champions last November 2018.
Other matches include Christian Lee (lightweight world and world grand prix champion) against Iuri Lapicus and Eddie Alvarez versus Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev.
The first part of ONE: Infinity will take place in Jakarta.
