BACOLOD CITY – A man was injured after he jumped from the fly-over in Barangay Bata here on Sunday.
Police withheld the name of the 38-year-old man from Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
According to the police, the man reportedly felt uneasy when he was sighted by some motorists on top of the fly-over past 7 p.m.
Lt. Col. Levy Pangue, head of Police Station 3, said the man was suspected to be under the influence of illegal drugs when he did it because his family claimed that he had no history of suicide attempts.
“He was also not undergoing depression,” the station commander added.
The man sustained minor injuries and was brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.
Pangue said the incident caused alarm to motorists.
He said they are still talking to the man’s family to determine what really triggered him to do the act. (Glazyl Masculino)
