In a report, Police Chief Master Sergeant Elmo Caboboy and Staff Sergeant Gilbert Santos said that the two suspects encountered the operating team after they grabbed a black Yamaha Mio Soul 125 (license plate unknown) driven by the student on a road in Barangay Paliparan III at 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The student, a resident of Sunnycrest Village, Dasmariñas, reported the incident to the nearest police station and the type and color of his motorcycle and the suspects’.
A police team on anti-drug mission in the Paliparan area responded to the site after being radioed by the City Police Tactical Operation Center.
Incidentally, the team spotted two men and two parked motorcycles with one being kick-started on the dimly-lit roadside.
The team got off from their vehicle, approached them and identified themselves as police officers.
Instead of yielding, the suspects pulled out their guns and fired. The firing forced the officers to shoot back, killing the duo. (Anthony Giron)
