All incoming flights to Kuwait from the Philippines and six other countries have been temporarily suspended.
In an advisory Saturday, the Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said the temporary ban on the entry of flights to the Kuwait International Airport will start on March 6 and will last “until one week”.
Other countries included in the flight restriction were Bangladesh India, Sir Lanka, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt.
Filipinos and the other six nationalities who have a “valid residency” in Kuwait or a “previous enter visa” will also be prohibited from entering the country if they were in their respective countries in the past two weeks.
Meanwhile, citizens of Kuwait coming from the abovementioned countries will still be allowed entry, “provided that the necessary quarantine procedures are applied to them.” (Noreen Jazul)
