University of the Philippines leaned on Ricci Rivero to defeat La Salle-Araneta, 67-53, in the 25-under division of the Milcu Got Skills Hard to Guard held recently at the Trinity University of Asia Gym in Quezon City.
Rivero had 23 points, four rebounds, two assists and five steals to lead the Fighting Maroons while getting help from Maodo Malick Diouf with 14 points and 13 rebounds in the Milcu-sponsored tournament.
National University downed Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, 122-52, in the 14-under division of the interclub cagefest also backed by LGR Sportswear, FMR, Spalding, Clyde, Vitaminboost and Lightwater.
Daniel Padilla dropped 31 points while Elijah Yusi had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Bullpups.
