BACOOR CITY – University of Perpetual Help-Molino basketball team stamped its class, scoring a grand slam of sorts in the first quarter of the year recently.
The PHH-Molino Altas of coach Siegfred ‘Phelot’ Levita won the 20-under title in the recent Inter School Basketball League (ISBL) championship by beating the Lyceum-Alabang Sharks, 86-80, at the St. Francis of Assisi Colleges gym.
UPH-Molino star John Kim Pito was named season MVP while teammates Matthew Matute, Gavin Umali, Brian Kyle Sobrepeña and Lyceum’s Frederick Velasco and Ismail Noman made it to the Mythical First Five.
Perpetual Molino senior cagers also ruled Cavite School and Colleges Athletic Association (CAVSCAA) and the South Luzon Colleges and Universities Athletics Association (SLCUAA).
They earlier reigned supreme in volleyball competition.
“A great season for this bunch of player, Salamat po sa lahat ng suporta, specially to the Tamayo Family, Kay Sir Tony, to Molino campus officials at sa naniwala sa kakayanan ng mga bata. Thank you po Mahal na Sto. Niño and sa Ina ng Laging Saklolo sa patuloy na pag-gabay sa amin,”said Levita.
