Warm and humid weather will persist in many parts of the country towards the weekend, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.
Weather specialist Loriedin dela Cruz said fewer areas in the northern part of Luzon could feel a slightly cold breeze in the early morning or late evening from the weakening northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
Light rains may prevail over Batanes, Cagayan, and Babuyan Group of Islands, while isolated light rains may affect Batanes, Cagayan, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Quirino, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have warm and humid weather conditions especially from noon to mid-afternoon, Dela Cruz said. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers may affect these areas.
Based on PAGASA’s extended weather outlook, air temperature in Metro Manila within the next three days will range between 25 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius.
A gale warning remains due to “rough to very rough” sea conditions across the northern coastlines of Batanes, Babuyan, Calayan, northern Ilocos Norte, and northern Cagayan.
Fishing boats and small sea craft were advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels were asked to remain alert against big waves.
The rest of Northern Luzon will have moderate to rough seas while the rest of the country will experience slight to moderate seas. (Ellalyn V. Ruiz)
