MAY kumakalat na usap hinggil sa pag-abuso diumano ng ilang pulitiko sa kanilang posisyon upang ma-test sila at pamilya laban sa kumakalat na covid-19.
Nagsimula ito sa isang social media post ng ABS-CBN reporter na si Chiara Zambrano na aniya ang impormasyon ay galing mismo sa isang medical frontliner.
Nakasaad sa statement: “This message of utter frustration was shared by a medical doctor over requests of numerous politicians to be prioritized for COVID-19 testing when the backlog is already overwhelming.
“This is bogging down the COVID19 testing. Politicians and their staff are now asking to be serviced in their homes by the DOH surveillance team.
“We have so many PUIs awaiting their results, and we can’t send (home) the PUMs who have been admitted the week before because we don’t have results yet.
“Perhaps, if media can investigate this ‘palakasan’ system, we might be able to alleviate the overburdened emergency rooms.
“As of yesterday, ERs are already full.”
Hindi man kumpirmado ay nagpahayag agad ng pagkadismaya ang ilang personalidad hinggil dito kasama na sina Jodi Sta. Maria, Karen Davila, at Gretchen Ho.
