THE Manila Police District is investigating a police officer who was caught in a video throwing expletives and hitting a resident who was allegedly not following quarantine measures with what appeared to be a wooden stick in Quiapo, Manila.
MPD director Police Brig. Gen. Rolando Miranda said that he has ordered an investigation on the matter.
“He will face an administrative sanction on his wrongdoing,” Miranda added when asked what might happen to the officer.
In a 40-second video uploaded by DZMM on Twitter, a personnel wearing fatigue uniform was heard saying: “Lahat ng lalabas ng walang oras, babarilin na.”
“Bakit oras ba ngayon? P ******* a, matigas ulo mo. Umuwi ka,” the uniformed personnel added, while hitting a man several times.
According to DZMM, the incident happened at Muslim Town. The video was uploaded yesterday at 9:53 a.m.
