CEBU CITY — A man considered as one of the most wanted persons in Central Visayas was killed in an alleged shootout with the police in Mandaue City.
Police identified the fatality as Allan Ouano, a resident of Barangay Basak, Mandaue City.
Also killed was Ouano’s male companion, who was not immediately identified.
Police Brig. Gen. Albert Ferro, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas, said operatives of the Basak Police Station rushed to Barangay Labogon, Mandaue around 9 p.m. last Sunday after receiving a report about the presence of suspicious-looking men.

Ferro said a shootout occurred after the two men opened fire when responding policemen tried to approach them.
Police later found out that Ouano had pending arrest warrants for murder, frustrated murder, and homicide.
“He was also one of the top drug personalities in the region and was also involved in gun-for-hire activities,” said Ferro.
