Veteran World Youth Championship campaigner Karl Victor Ochoa ruled the Chestropolis Arena in grand fashion by winning all his 15 games in a tournament held online on Monday.
For humbling his rivals, Ochoa, 29, tallied 56 points, 20 points ahead of second placer Johnny Balquin of Cagayan de Oro in the event organized by Chesstropolis IQ Chess Club headed by National Master coach Roland Joseph Perez.
It was the third triumph for Ochoa in the last two days after also ruling the 2nd Golden Mind Arena on the same day and another Chesstropolis Arena leg the day before.
In the Golden Mind tilt, Ochoa wound up with 51 points to edge out Letran standout Mark Daluz.
In between, Ochoa wound up fifth in the Rising Pheonix Qualifier 4 that was topped by Asian Para Games gold medalist FIDE Master Sander Severino.
