Jomar Ang took an interest into sports and motor racing before entering into one of the businesses owned by his celebrated father.
The son of San Miguel Corporation President and CEO Ramon Ang who passed away at the age of 26 had a brief stint as a member of the Ateneo judo team.
But Jomar eventually took more interest on what’s happening on the track and eventually joined his brother Jacob in the local karting series.
Little was known about his accomplishments but Jomar was known to compete in the SQ class category of the series in 2012.
Auto racing seemed to pave the way for Jomar to eventually take part in BMW dealership the elder-Ang had acquired in 2017. He was named Chief Finance Officer of RSA Motors, which already has dealerships in Greenhills and Libis.
Jomar died on Black Saturday, months after he was rushed to the hospital for undisclosed reasons.
Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cine and San Miguel sports director Alfrancis Chua had dedicated the team’s title victory in the PBA Governors’ Cup last January to the Ang family. (Jonas Terrado)
