I READ a friend’s Facebook post recently saying that his ginkgo plant has been growing wonderfully well.
He even showed a picture of the potted plant.

It is the only living species in the division Ginkgophyta, all others being extinct. Scientists call the ginkgo a fossil tree, considering its long history.
Ginkgo, which is native to China, is found in fossils dating back to 270 million years.
Some pharmaceutical companies use ginkgo extracts in producing medicines meant to enhance memory, or to arrest memory loss.
