DAVAO CITY – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 and the National Bureau of Investigation 11 had dismantled two drug dens here in their two-day operations since Tuesday.
The first operation was conducted last May 12 at around 6:00 p.m. at Sta. Lucia, Barangay Centro, Agdao where the subject of the buy-bust operation was identified as Bryan Duero, 40.
PDEA 11 report said Duero was arrested by for selling a small sachet of suspected shabu worth P1,000 to an agent who acted as buyer.
During the operation, four suspected drug den visitors identified as Sanerson Serna, Justine Alegado, Jaymerson Tacsan and Joemar Taylaran were also arrested.
A minor identified as alias Fritz was also present and rescued by the operatives.
Authorities seized in the area five sachets of suspected shabu in different sizes weighing about 12 grams with a street value of P180,000, a sachet with shabu residue, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
On Wednesday, May 13, around 3:30 p.m. the residence of the suspect identified as Gilbert Gepte, 49, at Alzate-Sobrecarey Street, Barrio Obrero was raided by the operatives.
Gepte was arrested by an operative who acted as poseur-buyer for selling a large transparent plastic sachet of shabu” worth P25,000.
The report said during the operation, five suspected drug den visitors identified as Ernesto Avelino, Jaime Arat, Rodney Quinto, Julius Tamayo and Jasper Tagnipis were present and also placed under arrest.
The operatives confiscated four large sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 31 grams with a street value of P465,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, and a vehicle believed to have been used by Gepte in his illegal activity.
Suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Armando B. Fenequito Jr.)
