Seventy-seven members of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) have been infected with coronavirus, according to Metro Manila police head Maj. Gen Debold Sinas.
In an interview over CNN Philippines, Sinas said 10 of the 77 infected policemen have already recovered, while the rest of the 67 have been placed under quarantine at NCRPO facilities.
“Yung labing isa nito ay bago lang at inaayos na namin ang accomodations nila,” Sinas said.
Aside from them, Sinas said the NCRPO has 157 policemen who are probable COVID-19 cases and six suspected cases.
He said 126 possible cases have already been placed under quarantine and some of them are waiting for the results of their COVID testing.
Despite this, Sinas assured that this will not deter the NCRPO from implementing the quarantine rules and conducting anti-criminality operations in Metro Manila.
“Ang anti-crime operations namin ay tuloy-tuloy pa po,” he said. (Jeffrey Damicog)
