TACLOBAN City – The provincial government of Northern Samar has suspended work in all offices both in public and private sectors due to typhoon “Ambo” Thursday.
However, agencies and offices whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services, such as the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), Public Information Office (PIO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and government hospitals will continue their operations.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-North Samar), National Food Authority (NFA), and all uniformed personnel are requested to be on standby.
As of 5:00 a.m., Northern Samar has been placed on typhoon signal number 3.
“Ambo” was forecasted to landfall over the northeastern portion of Northern Samar Thursday afternoon or early evening before heading towards Sorsogon. (Marie Tonette Marticio)
