The Altas of University of Perpetual Help have never stopped working out at their respective homes to stay in shape and ready when they resume training.
Despite the imposition of the Enhanced Community Quarantine for two months due to global health crisis, the Altas have found ways to be active and healthy which sounds like music to coach Frankie Lim’s ears.
“Kaya pinagwo-workout ko ang mga bata ay para anytime na babalik na sa practice, eh about 30% tuning up nalang gagawin, which I think in about 6 weeks kundisyon na ulit mga players,” said Lim.
Though the future of the NCAA is still uncertain, the Altas will continue to do online training as they intend to rebound from a disappointing 7th place finish last season.
While some were stranded at their Las Pinas dormitory, other players like Ben Adamo and Kim Auris were able to go home to their provinces.
Other mainstay of the Altas are Jef Egan, Ton ton Peralta, Aldeo Lucero, Stve Flores, Christian Pagaran, Nathaniel Sevilla, Jielo Razon, Jasper Cuevas, Kit Jimenez, and new recruits Nikko Paranada and Jethro Moll.
The Myk Saguiguit-mentored Junior Altas are also doing online exercises and might use video conference thru zoom to update each other.
Some members of the team are Gelo Gelsano, Eco Nunez, Shawn Orgo, Jomar Ignacio, Gabby Angeles, Kyle Thompson, Kyle Cuevas and new recruit Cyrus Nitura,
