It doesn’t look as if Manny Pacquiao is bothered by the possibility of sitting out the rest of 2020.
With major sports on hold owing to the COVID-29 pandemic, Pacquiao has began the process of accepting the likelihood that he might not even get the chance to wear a pair of gloves this year.
While on quarantine, Pacquiao makes it a point to keep himself busy by training every single day in his Dasmariñas Village residence.
“May ibubuga pa ano?” Pacquiao told his interviewer.
Reminded that the entire world remains consumed by the cornonavirus, Pacquiao insists “everything’s going to be alright soon.”
So, who is on the horizon for Pacquiao in 2021?
Before mentioning the name of the guy he is likely to tangle with, Pacquiao smiled.
“Baka (Floyd) Mayweather,” said the 41-year-old Pacquiao, who despite being inactive since July 2019, says he feels marvelously fit.
Strangely enough, Mayweather, 43, also remains on training mode nowadays although he’s never allowed himself to bloat even before.
Last week, Mayweather brushed off rumors that he is attempting to come back after videos of him working out made the rounds on the internet.
But with the lure of mega bucks, Mayweather can easily revert to active status for a huge payday.
Besides, Mayweather’s 2015 clash with Pacquiao drew a staggering $600 million in revenue.
