LAST year was the centennial of Philippine cinema. The celebration continues until this year. In this regard, I nominate – if I may – Nora Aunor as the Actress of the Century.
While at it, I hope the Palace will proclaim her National Artist, an honor denied her unjustly by the previous Palace occupant.
She was already recommended by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
No other actress deserves the Actress of the Century title. The Superstar. The Brown Cinderella. The People’s Artist.
