SAN PEDRO, Laguna – With public transportation still suspended under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the city government will provide free shuttle services starting May 26 for its residents.
The Libreng Sakay Program will utilize jeepneys to transport residents within the city.
Mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz announced the routes on her Facebook page and reminded residents to maintain social distancing inside the shuttle services to help prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
As of May 23, the city has 52 cases of COVID-19, 40 from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and 12 from the larger community.
The city has also recorded 44 recoveries and 11 mortalities. (Carla Bauto Deña)
