BACOLOD CITY – A former drug personality was gunned down Tuesday by two motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Sum-ag, the third shooting incident here amid the general community quarantine (GCQ) since May 16.
Killed was Randolf Domingo, 38, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, police reported.
Lt. Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 9, said that Domingo disembarked from his vehicle to urinate when two unidentified men on a motorcycle shot him at close range in front of a gasoline station.
Domingo succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the head and other parts of the body. The gunmen, who were wearing face masks, fled.
Pastrana said that the assailants probably tailed him.
Pastrana said that the victim was previously arrested for a drug offense in BarangayTaculing and in the area of Police Station 2.
He was released from jail in October 2019 and engaged in buying and selling of pigs, the station commander added.
Pastrana said that they are eyeing drug-related and business-related motives behind the killing.
The incident caused a one-hour traffic congestion in the area.
On May 16, a son of a drug convict was also killed by unidentified motorcycle-riding perpetrators while a businessman was also gunned down in front of his store here on May 21. (Glazyl Masculino)
