DAVAO CITY – The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Davao Region reached 345 on Friday, with the addition of 16 new infected patients, according to Department of Health-Davao Region.
The 15 new cases were reported in Davao City, bringing its total to 298, which comprised 86.37 percent of total cases in the entire region, the highest in Mindanao.
The province of Davao del Sur reported 13 cases, including its new additional case.
The case profiles of the new positive cases are usually released by the DoH-Davao on the following day.
On Friday, the region saw its highest single-day increase in COVID-19 cases when it reported 52 positives. (Antonio L. Colina IV)
