Ormoc LGU gave every family one sack of rice plus assorted canned goods in its fight against COVID-19.
Goma said he used the city’s calamity fund to make sure that everyone was accommodated.

On top of these, being an artist, he doesn’t forget the cultural aspect, the soul of any town or city.
Goma led the preservation of some landmarks in the city, including a heritage house that has been transformed into a museum.

VISAYAN INI: I watched a recent interview with Mayor Goma, showing how much he has embraced Ormoc, the hometown of his wife, Rep. Lucy Torres. Richard now speaks Visayan like a native.
He studied the dialect assiduously, even buying an English-Visayan dictionary to guide him.
Goma said he prioritized tightening peace and order in the city. Having done that, it wasn’t hard convincing big businesses, like SM and Robinsons, to set up their malls.
Ormoc’s tourist attractions include Lake Danao, Kalanggaman Island.
In 2019, Richard acted in a movie, “Three Words to Forever.”
