Three Grandmasters, six International Masters, two FIDE Masters and a slew of untitled promising young aspirants slug it out against each other in the grand finals of 1st Philippine Bullet Chess Championship set online on Saturday.
United States-based Mark Paragua is fancied to win the event after topping the semis round aside from winning 10th NBC Arena and SPEC and CA’s Life Arena ‒ a few days after.
GMs Banjo Barcenilla and Joey Antonio, IMs Jane Emmanuel Garcia, Daniel Quizon, Paulo Bersamina, Joel Pimentel, Oliver Dimakiling and Chito Garma and FMs Sander Severino and Alekhine Nouri are the other worthy contenders in the event offering P30,000 to the champion.
Also taking parts are Samson Chhiu Chhin Lim, Sherwin Tiu, Chester Neil Reyes, Vince Angelo Medina and Michael Concio, Jr. The second to fourth placers will receive P20,000, P10,000 and P10,000, respectively.
