Quezon City, which is one of the cities in the country with high number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, reported no new death related to the disease, the local government said on Friday.
This developed as the city confirmed 47 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 2,772.
The city’s epidemiology unit also said that the number of recovered patients has reached 1,476 following the 54 new recoveries.
Culiat remains as the barangay with the highest confirmed COVID-19 cases at 132. It is followed by Batasan Hills, at 122, and Bahay Toro, at 102.
Meanwhile, a 14-day special concern lockdown is still in effect in the following areas:
- Sitio Militar in Bahay Toro
- Calle 29 in Libis
• Kaingin Bukid in Apolonio Samson
• 138 Ermin Garcia St. in E Rodriguez
• 52 Imperial St. in E. Rodriguez
Recently, Mayor Joy Belmonte took pride that the local government was able to stabilize its positivity rate of COVID-19.
“We have more than 50 percent recovery rate, almost double that of the NCR average,” she added. (Joseph Pedrajas)
