Police seized Tuesday afternoon some P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu from alleged drug peddlers in an entrapment operation in Barangay 384, Quiapo, Manila.
Police identified the suspects as Casmir Caris, 30; and Montiyah Madaya, 38.
Members of Sta. Cruz Police Station of the Manila Police District (MPD) and the Masambong Police Station of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) conducted the buy-bust operation at the suspects’ house at around 5:15 p.m.
Investigation showed that the suspects were arrested after a drug deal with a poseur-buyer.
Eleven sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 500 grams with a street value of P3.4 million, drug paraphernalia, the marked money, and a cellphone were recovered from the suspects.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Minka Tiangco)
