The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has recognized the Muntinlupa City government for its efforts in curbing the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and its help to local businesses during the pandemic.
PCCI-Muntinlupa president Elvie Sanchez-Quiazon gave the Sterling Growth Catalyst Award to Mayor Jaime Fresnedi for his leadership in addressing the COVID-19 crisis and help in sustaining the local economy.
She said the PCCI-Muntinlupa lauded Fresnedi’s “transformational and adaptable leadership, commitment and eminent public service to boost the development and sustainability of the Muntinlupa City in challenging times.”
The local business chamber also awarded Muntinlupa’s City Health Office (CHO) with the Noble Award for its “unwavering generosity of providing its expertise on allocating help to the community to attain public health safety.”
Fresnedi thanked PCCI-Muntinlupa for the recognition of the city government’s COVID-19 response efforts to minimize its health, economic, and social impacts in the city.
He praised Muntinlupa’s frontliners for their hard work to eliminate COVID-19 in the city. (Jonathan Hicap)
As of July 22, there are 932 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Muntinlupa including 439 patients who have recovered and 64 deaths, leaving 429 active cases.
