LOYAL TO ABS-CBN: Through social media posts and during a live appearance, Angel Locsin called on fellow artists to speak up in defense of their shuttered home studio. Enchong Dee expressed the same sentiment.
Unusually reserved are the men, the lead actors of ABS-CBN, whose voices aren’t heard.
Kathryn Bernardo pledged her allegiance to ABS-CBN, saying she will never abandon her home studio.
Piolo Pascual may have figured in a minor political controversy, but the fact remains, based on his pronouncements, he’ll forever be a kapamilya. It’s probably the same thing with Coco Martin.
Many others are expected to sing the same tune, the likes of Jericho Rosales, Bea Alonzo, Daniel Padilla, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Jolina Magdangal, Sam Milby, all of them homegrown talents.

DAILY KAPAMILYA CHANNEL: In the midst of all this confusion that started with the closure of ABS-CBN timed during a pandemic, TV-5 came up with an invite to hire displaced workers.
The revivalist network is embarking on a new round of entertainment programs. Jobless actors from the closed down ABS-CBN will probably soon be cast in TV-5 shows.
That’s not to say ABS-CBN will stop producing entertainment shows completely. Network’s creatives are working on some future shows, while some of them have been in the can. These shows are to be beamed on iWant, TFC, You Tube, and the Kapamilya Channel on cable TV.
Former network president Charo Santos-Concio announced that the Kapamilya Channel will soon air regularly, as in every day, online, starting Aug. 1.
