A family driver was arrested for possession of P2.5 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Makati on Wednesday, police said.
Police identified the suspect as John Edward Sayson, 25, and a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Makati City.
The operation was conducted by members of the Makati City police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Intelligence Unit (IU).
A policeman, who acted as poseur-buyer, was able to buy from the suspect one piece of transparent sachet containing shabu amounting to P50,000.
Also recovered from his possession were seven pieces of transparent sachet containing 375.38 grams of shabu with a street value of P2.5-million.
Sayson is now detained at the Makati City police custodial facility and was charged for violation of Section 5 (Selling) and 11 (Possession) of Article 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Tthe Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). (Jean Fernando)
