Starting Monday, all police personnel and visitors of the National Headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be required to wear a face shield as part of the measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Lt. Gen. Camilo Pancratius Cascolan, PNP deputy chief for Administration, said curfew operations will also be implemented inside Camp Crame from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in order to ensure that only police personnel on duty and those who are allowed to live inside the NHQ would be present.
“We appeal to all to observe health protocols for the sake of everyone’s safety against the contagion,” said Cascolan.
The move, according to Cascolan, is part of the effort to protect police personnel and civilian employees amid the growing number of COVID-19 cases.
Cascolan also advised offices and units utilizing a parking area near the NHQ Building to transfer to the PNP Transformation Oval Parking Area.
He said PNP Heath Service will establish a Daily Triage Area at the North Wing Parking Area for PNP personnel effective August 15. (Aaron Recuenco)
