KAPANGAN, Benguet – Fifteen people luckily survived after the jeepney they were riding fell into a 250-meter deep ravine at Sitio Mocgo, Barangay Sagubo, Kapangan in Benguet on Monday.
Police Colonel Elmer Ragay, director of Benguet Provincial Police Office, said the jeepney, driven by one Carlito Manuel, was traversing Sagubo-Gadang provincial road at 8 p.m. when it fell into ravine.
Responding rescuers brought the injured victims to Kapangan District Hospital Central.
Police said the injured passengers are Estrella Waclin, Lani Waclayan, Corazon Lacwayan, Dexter Buyao, Jonard Alejandro,Winnie Manuel, Jovie Langawan, Jemaima Langawan, Jonie Jade Assan, Marion Polon, Josephine Dagdag, Ritch Brandon Carino, and Chay-an Langcao, all residents of Barangay Gadang, Kapangan, Benguet; one unidentified female, and the jeepney driver.
